Stephen Covey Biography
Stephen R. Covey (1932–2012) was an internationally respected leadership authority, family expert, teacher, organizational consultant, and author. His books have sold more than twenty-five million copies in thirty-eight languages. And The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People was named the #1 Most Influential Business Book of the Twentieth Century. After receiving an MBA from Harvard and a doctorate degree from Brigham Young University, he became the co-founder and vice-chairman of FranklinCovey, a leading global training firm.
Stephen Covey was an American author born on October 24, 1932. He is one of the famous authors, businessmen, and motivational speakers.
Convey has written many books like First Thing First, Principle-Centered Leadership, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families, The 8th Habit, and The Leader In Me: How Schools and Parents Around the World Are Inspiring Greatness, One Child at a Time. In 1996. According to Time magazine, he is included in the 25 most influential persons globally.
7 Habits of highly effective people is one of his most famous books. In this book, the author has discussed some common habits of highly effective people of the world. This book was published on August 15, 1989, firstly. A million copies of this book sold till now. This book and many other writings of this author have motivated and changed many people’s lives.
Stephen was born to Stephen Glenn Covey and Irene Louise Richards and grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was fond of sports. Unfortunately, due to one of the diseases, he diverted his attention toward academic studies. He was so brilliant that he became able to get admission to Havered University and obtained the degree of Master of Business Administration(MBA).
Stephen Convey married Sandra and started living with his wife in Provo, the fourth-largest city in Utah, United States. He died on July 16, 2012.
